SYNOPSIS

"Ainda Estamos Aqui" (We Are Still Here) follows the small village of Decabelos, uninhabited for 26 years, where silence is the only constant for most of the year. But once annually, former residents and their descendants return to prepare the village’s traditional celebration, rekindling memories, affections, and a deep sense of belonging. Through voices, gestures, and spaces that hold stories within their walls, the film reveals how collective memory keeps alive a community that seemed destined to disappear.
